Travel Swimming

This competitive program is open to swimmers who are ready to take their skills to the next level. The focus of this program is to expand the knowledge of competitive swimming by teaching the proper techniques of the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly and participating in swim meets throughout the season. This program is not a 'learn to swim" program; therefore, swimmers must be able to swim the freestyle and backstroke laps with proper breathing techniques.  Swimmers 10 and under swim a distance of 25 yards, or one lap, and all other age groups swim 50 yards or two laps. The swimmer's practice attendance, race times, and ability will determine Meet participation. The Championship meet, sponsored by the Catholic Youth Organization of Long Island (CYOLI), is scheduled at the end of the season. Swimmers are selected to participate based on event times throughout the season. Swimmer commitment is essential, and traveling to venues in Nassau and Suffolk counties is required.

Important! New swimmers must attend a tryout, and selection to the team is not guaranteed. Swimmers who are not selected to the team will be refunded the cost of the sport (minus the convenience fee plus $25 tryout fee).

Important! To maintain a safe environment in our Swim program, all swimmers must be aware of and obey all coach and facility rules to participate in the program.
