At St. Rose CYO, we are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all parish and community members. In accordance with the Diocese of Rockville Centre (DRVC) - Office for the Protection of Children and Young People, all St. Rose CYO staff and volunteers must adhere to diocesan and parish safety practices and guidelines.

To get started, please follow these steps:

1. Access the Virtus website: Click here to access the Virtus website.      Note: User guides are available at the bottom of the this page for reference.

2. If you do not have a Virtus account:

   • Click the green "First-Time Registrant" button to begin the account setup process.

   • When creating your account, be sure to select "St. Rose of Lima CYO" as your location.

3. If you already have a Virtus account:

   • Log in with your login ID and password.

   • If you’ve forgotten your login credentials, click the blue "I Need Login Help" button for assistance.

   • If "St. Rose of Lima CYO" is not listed as a location on your account, please contact the DVRC coordinator below and request that "St. Rose of Lima CYO" be added to your list of locations.

Complete the following requirements:

• Attend the Virtus Protecting God's Children class (one-time requirement).

• Sign the Codes of Conduct (one-time requirement).

• Complete the Sterling background screening application (renew every 5 years).

• Read the Virtus training bulletins (ongoing training for coaches only, emailed monthly).

  • Note: If you have five or more unread bulletins, your Virtus account will be automatically deactivated. To reactivate your account, please contact the DVRC coordinator below. Also, ensure the email associated with your Virtus account is valid so you can receive the bulletin reminders.
