Dear CYO Families,

As St. Rose CYO prepares for each season, including the Fall season and all subsequent 8-12 week sports seasons, we want to reiterate the proactive steps we take to ensure your family's faith commitments and sports schedules align as smoothly as possible.

Before each season begins, the St. Rose CYO ministry coordinates with the St. Rose Faith Formation ministry to identify any potential scheduling conflicts between sports and Faith Formation. Our primary goal is to support your Faith Formation obligations while also ensuring your ability to attend weekly Mass. Families can attend either the Saturday Mass or one of the four Masses on Sunday.

For sports that require coordination with community facilities, typically available only on weekends, we provide schedules well in advance. This allows families to plan accordingly and ensures ample opportunity to fulfill their religious education obligations. In the event of unforeseen changes to either the St. Rose Faith Formation or St. Rose CYO schedules that result in a conflict, please know that Faith Formation takes precedence. We want to assure you that your child's standing on the team will not be impacted by their commitment to religious education.

Please note that any emails addressed to CYO or Faith Formation regarding conflicts with Faith Formation obligations will be addressed by both ministries. This collaborative approach allows us to determine if a scheduling conflict exists and how we can resolve it.

Additionally, CYO of Long Island (CYOLI) fully supports religious events and will work directly with each parish to reschedule or blackout any dates that conflict with Faith Formation.

Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation. We appreciate your commitment to both your child's spiritual growth and athletic development.
